Workshop's objective is to discuss aspects of utilizing artificial intelligence for processing, visualizing, and interpreting spatial information, networking and collaborative systems in the environment of geographic information systems (GIS) and other geotechnologies. The workshop deals with integration of methods used for solving issues in the field of artificial intelligence and techniques for spatial data processing whose cooperation is inevitable for developing new modern research methods and technologies in geosciences. For reaching the objective of the project, resolving the following separate issues is presumed:
- Developing theoretical resources for processing high-dimensional and stream data through artificial intelligence methods
- Applying bio-inspired calculations for acquiring knowledge from spatial data
- Generating data models and structures for GIS from high-dimensional and stream data using artificial intelligence
- Evaluating spatial aspects of artificial intelligence methods for spatial analyses of GIS
- Visualizing high-dimensional and stream data
- Applying new knowledge for an example of processing general (population, houses, and apartments - PHAC) census demographical data
- Using of Artificial Intelligence Techniques and GIS for Predictive Modelling
- Artificial Inteligence and GIS in Spatial Decision Support within collaborative systems
- Networking in Artificial Intelligence Techniques for Developing Intelligent GIS
- Fuzzy Logic, Fractals, Artificial Neural Networks and Chaos in GIS
- Cellular automata and Multiagent systems in GIS
- Web. Social network analysis in GIS
- Web-based networking and collaborative systems in GIS
- Grid and Wireless infrastructure, Cloud computing in GIS
- Virtual GIS communities and its support for organization, management, mobility and security
